The Data and Intelligence Team have a wealth of experience in providing high quality data and rich intelligence products, which have been developed to inform robust strategic decision making across your key organisation’s key areas.

We have a team of experts with knowledge and expertise specialising in the following areas:

We shape our service offer in partnership with our stakeholders to ensure we meet the full requirements of the sector by providing the data, intelligence, critical questions and leadership challenges to shape and drive through change.

We are a service with a track record of delivering high quality data and intelligence to 100% of maintained schools across North Yorkshire.

We currently manage all of the performance data for the Children and Young People’s service.  Working with North Yorkshire County Council will also help to identify and communicate easily areas of risk and opportunity for your organisation.

We will maximise your team’s capacity by removing the need for them to scrutinise and report on the data themselves.  We can track trends and measure your performance against the sector to ensure that you are equipped with all the information to inform your strategic direction.We offer a wide range of services to support you to deliver a Good or Outstanding Education and Healthy Start to Life for Children and Young People.

Validation

Our experts will compare the new Census return with your previous one to validate:

  • Number on Roll
  • Full time/Part time status
  • Hours at setting (funded hours)
  • Zero funded hours pupils Early Years Pupil Premium eligibility
  • Check SEN status (comparing to the Local Authority Data)
  • Top up funding
  • Post 16 - check against year 12, prior attainment reports from EFA*
  • Basic post code checks
  • Duplicate Record Check*
  • NC year group check
  • Free School Meals check comparing with LA statistics

* Dependent on access to COLLECT

Upload

  • Amend if required and upload XML to COLLECT

The team will work with you to discuss your requirements, understand your priorities and develop a bespoke offer based on both your needs and your audience.

This will ensure you:

  • Have a thorough understanding of your data
  • Identify gaps in the data collection
  • Validate data to ensure high quality submissions to the Government
  • Receive accurate funding
  • Keep abreast of best practice and changes in legislation
  • Hold accurate data to enable informed service improvement decisions to be made
